The Mayor’s Harbour lights Breakfast’ in support of the 12th annual Harbour Lights Campaign. The $3.00 cost of the breakfast goes towards the campaign with the merchants donating the food and cooking space. Since 1997 New Brunswick has donated a total of $928,288 to this great cause. The Harbour Light Campaign raises money each year for food banks in Southern New Brunswick... from St. Stephen to Saint John to Sussex. Each year the Saint John Port Authority installs a giant Christmas tree made of hundreds of twinkling lights near the Saint John harbour. Each two dollar donation lights a bulb. And as December progresses bulb by bulb the tree is lit. Once that year's financial goal $40,000.00 is met, the star on top is lit up, too!"
